Plateau Medical Center is dedicated to helping people rebuild their lives after illness and injury. We believe that recovery encompasses both mind and body, so our services address both the mental and physical aspects of rehabilitation. Our rehabilitation team includes knowledgeable, caring professionals who are dedicated to providing quality care and support. The rehabilitative services department offers the following therapies:
- Occupational Therapy - The occupational therapist provides skilled treatment to help individuals achieve independence in their lives. OT specializes in restoring the use of the shoulder, elbow and hand after injury or surgery. They provide "the skills for the job of living" in order to live life to the fullest.
- Physical Therapy - The physical therapist evaluates, designs and implements individualized patient treatment programs using a variety of techniques to relieve pain, improve strength and motion, restore function, promote healing and prevent disability.
- Speech Therapy - The speech-language pathologist diagnoses and treats communication, speech language, swallowing, cognitive and voice disorders in children and adults.

You will receive individualized, one on one treatment by a licensed therapist during each treatment session.
All services focus on education of the patient and family. We offer both inpatient and outpatient rehab services and have opened an outpatient facility adjacent to the hospital to meet the growing needs of our community.
